The denture is a treatment that is used to replenish loss teeth. It is based on the construction of artificial teeth when you have lost one, several or all of them.
Types of prosthesis:
Removable Prosthesis : Metal structures are holding acrylic teeth that can be removed from the mouth for cleaning. The prostheses are rigid metal structure and both are supported by natural teeth present.
Fixed Prosthesis: Teeth of porcelain that are cemented into the vital tooth or the endodontically treated tooth through a bolt or stud. Or missing teeth that are supported by adjacent teeth (bridge) in porcelain and metal according to the needs of the patient.
Complete Prosthesis: Prosthesis completely made in bio-compatible materials that replace all the teeth in the mouth and can be removed for cleaning, these are based on the gums and mucous membranes of the oral cavity.
